If you live at Parkview Manor, be prepared for some fire and smoke along Interstate 494 in the South St. Paul area for the next couple months.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says it’s planning prescribed burns along I-494 west of Hardman Avenue near South St. Paul, Newport, Inver Grove Heights and West St. Paul when conditions are right. The burns will take place at the Burns Wetland.
MnDOT says the prescribed burns are scheduled from mid-October to mid-December.
I-494 and Hardman Avenue will stay open during the burns.
MnDOT says if smoke drifts near the highway, drivers should slow down and drive with caution.
